Southampton art gallery, Spice Art Studios, opens its doors to show his paintings

For the first time, Peruvian artist Juan Bautista is showing his paintings in the United Kingdom in an exhibition at the contemporary art gallery, Spice Art Studios, in Southampton. The display is taking place until Saturday 17th May 2008.

Juan Bautista was born in the city of Bagua, province of Amazonas, in Peru. He has participated in a series of collective exhibitions around Peru, Bolivia and Venezuela.

The director of Spice Art Studios, Tracey Spice, remarks: "I was so impressed I immediately invited Bautista to have his first international exhibition as a guest artist at Spice Art Studios. I am looking forward to showing people of Hampshire this fantastic talented artist; he deserves to be recognised".

Spice Art Studios gallery is open to visitors from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10.00am to 6.00pm.
