Until 14th of July it will be possible to visit 'Paracas, undiscovered treasures from ancient Peru' at Quai Branly Museum in Paris. This exhibition brings together the largest series of "Paracas" textiles ever shown outside Peru.
It introduces the visitor to a selection of pieces restored from December 2004 to November 2006, in the context of an international scientific collaboration between the Quai Branly Museum and institutions from Peru.
In parallel to this exposition there is an exhibition devoted to the Peruvian artist Elena Izcue (1889–1970), whose pictorial and graphic works, executed in the 1930's, show a very strong influence from pre-Colombian textile art and especially that of Paracas.
