Given the constant increase in the number of tourists attracted by its charm, Peru will be the first South American country to appear in an issue of a National Geographic guide.
The famous institution has foreseen an edition of 17,000 copies for the English-written version, and is planning a Spanish edition to be available before the end of the year.
Rob Rachowiecki, member of the American Society of Travelling Writers, and the photographer Vance Jacob are the authors of this guide, which from February will be available in the United States, Canada and Europe.
‘Traveler: Peru’ presents photographs, illustrations and maps not only of the most amazing tourist locations, such as the Lake Titicaca or The Nasca Lines, but also it introduces cultural and historical aspects through contributions of local writers, explorers and settlers.
